Forestilling og seminar om Copying, Re-enactment og Hacktivism

Så er der seminar på Entréscenen, og for 30kr, får du ikke bare et spændende seminar, men såmænd også en billet til forestillingen MasterCopy.

Andy Warhol eating burgers, the Danish cultural canon re-enacted and the history of Italian Hacktivism.
A seminar on Copying, Re-enactment and Hacktivism at Entré Scenen in Århus.

It doesn't make sense to talk about originality in art: any artwork is the result of previous relationships and ideas developed by the artist collaborating with other people in an ongoing process.

It is even more complex to discuss originality on the Internet: any file can be reproduced to the infinite with no loss of quality, and every copy is identical to the original.

This seminar will focus on methods and ideas of Copying, Re-enactment and Hacktivism within contemporary arts practice. The notion of originality is altered within a contemporary arts practice where the use of references, sampling, re-enactment, copying and hacking is a common phenomena.

What happens to copyrights as a phenomenon when artist starts neglecting it?

What is the influence of this kind of arts-practice on our perception of cultural identity?

What happens with the role of the author, artist and the art works?

The seminar is presented by: Digital Urban Living & Digital Aesthetics Research Center, Entré Scenen and LiminalDK
